Famous Flat Tops Photographers and Artists

A famous photographer by the name of A.G. Wallihan and his wife Augusta, entered the 1900 Paris World Fair with their photographs of the West (majority taken in our area) and won an honorable mention in some categories and we think he won in other categories for best photography.  Anyway, a lot of the work he entered into the 1900 World’s Fair is on hand at the Museum of NW Colorado in Craig, CO.

Sculpture Alexander Proctor not only painted and sculpted wildlife in our area but also hunted there and one of his paintings on display at the Museum in Craig, was of a hunt that took place and depicts an area just a few hundred yards away from our cabin site just off our property.
